~*1st Shawwal*~
‘Eid al-Fitr!

~*13th Shawwal*~
Imam Bukhaari was born (194 AH)

~*17th Shawwal*~

Battle of Uhud
On this day, the Muslims were confident of victory with their large numbers; however, because of this they left their posts early. It was due to this lack of humility and forgetting who the true Grantor of victory was (Allah) that they suffered tremendous losses after the Kufaar mounted a counter attack. On this day a tooth of Rasulullah (ﷺ) was shaheed as well.

~*6 days of Shawwal*~
Make sure you fast six days of Shawwal! Rasulullah (ﷺ) is reported to have said that, “Fasting Ramadan and following it with six days from Shawwal is like continual fasting” [Reported on authority of Abu Ayyub in Muslim].
Although it is not necessary to fast the six days consecutively after Ramadan Shareef ends, in Hanifi and Hanbali fiqh; whereas, Shafi’I and Maliki fiqh recommend it, it is important to not forget fasting them simply due to pushing them off.
